About the Role

The main purpose of the role is to assist the Vice-President - Group Tax with the provision of advice, guidance and assistance to Head Office and Regional Management over a broad range of tax matters, but focusing on all transfer pricing related aspects associated with DP World’s global activities. 


Key Accountabilities
  • Manage the implementation, enhancement and maintenance of DP World’s transfer pricing policy with regards to management charges, including the preparation of the Master File and the oversight of the preparation of Local Files.
  • Assist Group Treasury in pricing of intercompany funding, including liaising with external advisors and review of intercompany loan agreements and documentation.
  • Help establish the transfer pricing framework around new business models and business activities involving IP development and Logistics.
  • Manage and oversee the calculation of periodic management charges and instruct invoices to Group Finance for the business units as appropriate.
  • Establish and maintain a database of all inter-group contractual relationships within the DP World Group.
  • Ensure that the legal agreements are in place and update as required including drafting the agreements under guidance of Group Legal.
  • Provide input and assistance on M&A projects from a transfer pricing perspective.
  • Assist Business Units with local defence files supporting intercompany transactions and with transfer pricing audits where required.
  • Manage DP World’s annual cycle of Country by Country Reporting (“CbCR”), including the preparation and filing of the report, and maintain all supporting files and back up documentation to ensure completeness and correctness of the reporting in all jurisdictions where filing is required.
  • Manage the annual CbCR notification process globally.
  • Trend analysis and identification of risk areas from the CbCR.
  • Liaise with external advisors and auditors with regards to local transfer pricing requirements and DP World’s global transfer pricing policy.
  • Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Founder’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications and Experience

In order to give credible support to the organisation and be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Chartered Accountant from the tax or transfer pricing service line of a Big 4 firm, ideally CTA qualified.
  • 5-7 years post qualification experience in transfer pricing, or similar in-house experience with a global multinational.
  • Experience in preparing a Master File and Local files and other transfer pricing documentation.
  • Comfortable drafting legal documentation to support intercompany charges.
  • Experience in calculating management fees (Excel skills well developed), ideally able to retrieve data from ERP such as HFM.
  • Experience working in the Middle East would be advantageous but not essential.
