About the Role Based in Dubai at the P&O Maritime Corporate Office and reporting to the  Manager Accounting and Reporting - Corporate , the  Oracle Financial Lead Consultant is responsible for providing support to the Line Manager  in the implementation of Oracle Financial System across P&O Maritime Business Units (global) , which would include Leading the project, configure business requirements, work along with onsite and offshore team and carry out any tasks required for successful implementation.  

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, configure and analyse business requirements of business units for project implementation. This could include documenting I writing the business requirements and other functional and technical documentations
  • Assist in design, development, testing and implementation of Oracle financials at all BU's of P&O Maritime Group
  • Support project team in developing reports, tables, fields, data interfaces and application extensions
  • Provide suggestions to customize Oracle applications for optimal performance
  • Respond to customer queries and concerns promptly
  • Identify functional gaps in co-ordination with the BU and Oracle implementation team and assist with corrective actions
  • Develop testing scenarios and write test scripts
  • Ensure that timely project deliverables meet customer specifications
  • Work with Oracle team to develop user guides and training materials.
  • Any other tasks as may be assigned relating to system implementation.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Graduation I Qualification in Information Technology or Computer Engineering with at least 5 years of experience of which minimum 2 years in a similar role with a medium to large size business organisation
  • Knowledge in Oracle R12 and cloud implementation
  • Proficiency with computers and bookkeeping software, strong typing skills
